The Duplex Contactors are recommended for systems requiring two (2)
permanent split-phase capacitor (PSC) or shaded pole motor driven pumps
with internal thermal protection.
Supplied in a NEMA 1, indoor mounting steel enclosure, the control contains
two 1/3 to 3 horsepower rated contactor for single phase motor control.
An alternator is supplied to provide standard duplex operation. The motor
contactors are wired to a terminal block to provide control with 2 or 3 float
switches, or a single pressure switch. Contactor coils, alternator coil, float
switches and other pilot devices operate at line voltage. The hinged
enclosure door mounts two hand-off-auto switches with spring return from
the hand position to prevent pump damage. Amber lights, mounted above
the switches, indicate pump operation.
Terminals and terminal blocks are provided for all customer connections,
motor leads, float switches and other pilot devices, and incoming line power.
The indoor NEMA 1 enclosure is finished in a gray enamel coating, inside
and out, over phosphatized steel. Knock-outs are provided on the enclosure
top and bottom for ease of installation. Mounting is provided through 4 holes
through the rear of the enclosure.
